Each project begins with a site visit to understand the site profile, context, aspect, and constraints of the property. We then discuss your brief in depth and investigate planning conditions. For example, local authority requirements, setbacks, height limits, easements, etc. We create sketch plans and provide 3D perspectives to clearly convey the design and to ensure the brief is achieved within budget.
At Valentine Building Design mediocre is not an acceptable standard. To further our design and delivery we offer virtual walkthroughs. This option affords owners or prospective purchasers an opportunity to ‘walk through’ the home via an online platform long before construction is underway. We feel this is an invaluable tool. Why? Sometimes it isn’t easy to imagine a space until built. We know from experience that a virtual walkthrough helps our clients to positively engaged in the process as much as practically possible.
Once our client is happy with the design, we move into approvals, documentation and detailing to suit. We coordinate with reputable certifiers, engineers, and sub-consultants to provide a comprehensive set of plans for builders to price openly and competitively.
We believe that a relatively small investment in providing adequate documentation far outweighs uncertainty and risk once the build contract is underway.
If required we can provide tendering and tender reviews, in addition to contract admin, site attendance, defect inspection and reporting.
